James Bond film postponed due to Nokia smartphone in the frame

At first, the premiere of the smartphone was postponed due to the postponement of the release date of the film, and now the action movie is being postponed due to gadgets. No Time to Die about James Bond has become one of the most distressing films of recent years, as its premiere has already been postponed several times. The reason for the next transfer of the picture was an old Nokia smartphone.

Initially, the film was supposed to go to film distribution in 2019, but the release had to be postponed due to the departure of Danny Boyle from the post of director. A little later it became known that from February 2020 the release was postponed to the beginning of the second quarter of the same year.

But the COVID-19 pandemic had its own opinion on this matter. Due to the fact that almost all countries of the world went into quarantine, the release of the film was first postponed until autumn 2020, and then – until April 2021. But this was not the final decision either.

In parallel with the film, HDM Global postponed the announcement of the mid-range smartphone Nokia 8.3 5G, whose advertising campaign is associated with a spy thriller, because 007 was supposed to use this particular device. With each new date of the premiere, the phone lost its relevance more and more. After it became known that the release of the film will take place in 2021, the Finnish brand decided to release the device. It happened in the fall of last year.

More recently it became known that “No Time to Die” will be shown only in the last quarter of this year. The reason for the next transfer of the film was that the Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone and several other gadgets used by the heroes are no longer relevant. Now the filmmakers are forced to remount a number of scenes using newer gadgets.

As for the Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone, we will not see it in the picture. At the same time, there is a possibility that James Bond will turn out to be a fan of the legendary Finnish brand and will still use the Nokia model, but already more relevant. True, in the near future only budget solutions should appear in the company’s assortment.
