GeForce RTX 3080 can barely handle the Medium even at 1080p

Last week, the developers from the Bloober Team published an extremely detailed list

According to information from DSOGaming journalists, even the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 accelerator cannot cope with The Medium at high quality settings without ray tracing at 1080p resolution: under these conditions, the video card does not produce stable sixty frames per second. This is half the trouble: the game suffers from numerous slowdowns caused by loading data. As the authors of the material write, such loads appeared in every room in the game. There can be no reason in the drive: the journalists used the Samsung 970 Pro NVMe M.2 solid-state drive.

The authors immediately clarify that there are no bottlenecks in their system: the game was played on a computer with an Intel Core i9-9900K processor with 16 GB of RAM at a frequency of 3800 MHz, well, with a GeForce RTX 3080 video card. The latest version of GeForce drivers was installed, and in 64-bit Windows 10 was used as the operating system.

According to DSOGaming journalists, it is completely unclear what is happening and what the problem might be. One thing is clear: the level of graphics in The Medium absolutely does not justify such “brakes” / system requirements (who is more convenient to count).

Of course, there is still a glimmer of hope for a possible patch of the first day, but given that the release of The Medium is already tomorrow, there is anxiety about the release quality of the product.
