Co-founder of one of the largest Bitmain mining equipment manufacturing companies, Jihan Wu succeeds Micree Zhan as CEO.
Bitmain has changed the organizational structure in local accounting departments. Now Jihan U is not listed as legal representative and executive director, but Jihan U. On Tuesday, Jihan U sent an email to all employees of the company with the following content:
“As a co-founder, chairman, legal representative and executive director of the company, I relieve all responsibilities of Mikri Zhang. From this moment, no one should follow his instructions or take part in the meetings organized by him. If the situation requires it, Bitmain is ready to terminate employment contracts with violators. ”
One of the Bitmain employees contacted CoinDesk and confirmed the authenticity of the above information, but the company has not yet commented on the situation. At the moment, it is not clear which events triggered such changes.
It is known that Zhang wanted to develop Bitmain’s high-tech business lines, including artificial intelligence. However, Jihan Wu supports the company’s decision to bet on Bitcoin Cash mining. Against the background of this news, the BCH rate has grown by 11% over the past day.
