MOSCOW, 15 Sep — PRIME. Samsung expects to return to the Russian market by the end of this year, Izvestia writes, citing a source close to the company. He clarified that it is, in particular, about the resumption of supplies of equipment to retailers and the restart of the official online store.

According to a representative of one of the online stores representing the “gray market”, the company is not interested in importing South Korean equipment, since official deliveries may soon resume.
Another source noted that the reason for talking about the return of Samsung could be the fact that the South Korean brand recently updated the Russian site. It now features the recently released Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphones.
“This can be interpreted in any way, but this is a positive sign,” said Eldar Murtazin, an analyst at Mobile Research Group.
Samsung told the publication that they did not comment on the information about the resumption of work in Russia.
Ferra.ru editor-in-chief Evgeny Kharitonov commented that the company was forced to suspend sales of devices under external pressure. At the same time, she never announced the final withdrawal from Russia, so the resumption of sales and deliveries of Korean devices is just a matter of time, he added.
