Media: The G7 will present a plan to set a limit on prices for Russian oil
WASHINGTON, Sep 1 – PRIME G7 finance ministers on Friday will present a plan to set a ceiling price for Russian oil, writes the Wall Street Journal.
The United States called the consequences of the introduction of a “price ceiling” on oil from Russia
The G7 finance ministers are expected to issue an approval of the plan to set a cap price during a virtual meeting on Friday and commit themselves to complete its implementation.
The release of the price cap plan is expected by the end of the week, as Western financial officials expect to have an effective policy in place by December, the report said. “Officials are trying to resolve several difficult questions about how the price cap will work,” the statement said.
