Microsoft Edge is coming to Kid Mode

The American company Microsoft has announced that a new “child mode” will appear in the next stable version of the Microsoft Edge browser. It is currently in beta testing and available to users included in the Edge Insiders program.

As it became known, the Kids Mode is intended for the youngest category of Internet users, namely children from 5 to 12 years old. Therefore, the developers of the browser first of all added safe search (through the built-in Bing system) and web browsing to it, as well as protection against tracking activity on the Web.

In addition, parents will be given the opportunity to independently compile a list of trusted sites, which allows them to fully control the presence of children on the World Wide Web. Also, Microsoft experts will save young web users from annoying Internet advertising. In addition, a menu for customizing themes will appear in the “child mode”. It is known that in the future, developers are planning to add new useful features to Kids Mode.

To start the new mode, you do not need to create a separate account for the child if the computer owner already has an account. You can activate Kids Mode through the profile selection menu, and to return to standard mode, you will need to enter a preset password.
