Microsoft unveils the new Paint application for Windows 11

Over the past weeks, we have regularly been getting an insight into the news that will come or have already arrived to the new Windows 11 system. Now we can take a look at how the refreshed Paint application will look like.

Windows 11 will refresh the look of many popular applications, including Paint

Recently, Panos Panay, Executive Director and Product Director for Windows + Devices at Microsoft, shared various Windows news with us. It was he who presented to us, among others new cutting tools. Now, however, it allows you to see the refreshed look of Paint.

Probably everyone knows this program, and there have been few changes in it since Windows 7. However, the new system introduces design coherence, so Paint is also undergoing a metamorphosis. It’s going to get dark mode support, which is definitely great news. In addition, the menu of some functions has also been changed, e.g. when inserting a text field, the text editing tools will not appear in the new section, but under the function icon. The brushes menu has been changed from grid view to list view, and the colors will appear in circles instead of squares.

The changes are not revolutionary, nor do they apply to new functions, but simply to the appearance of the program. Paint has been adapted to the more modern Windows 11 and we hope other applications will also get a refresh.
