MOSCOW, 30 Sep — PRIME. “Moldovagaz” transferred to “Gazprom” the balance of the advance for September in the amount of $24 million, fulfilled contractual obligations, said the head of the company Vadim Cheban.

“Today JSC Moldovagaz transferred the rest of the advance payment for September to PJSC Gazprom in the amount of $23.898 million. Thus, the company, with the assistance of the government of the Republic of Moldova, fulfilled its payment obligations for the advance payment to the natural gas supplier,” he said in the messenger. According to Cheban, the company paid about $36 million.
Earlier, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that representatives of Gazprom did not confirm plans to supply gas to the republic in October, as Moldovagaz did not pay the advance payment. Cheban assured that the company would pay the balance by the end of September.
