MSI Introduces Geforce GTX 980 Ti Gaming

Unlike the Geforce GTX Titan X, Nvidia’s partner manufacturers get their hands free with the newcomer GTX 980 Ti, which is also based on the GM200 graphics processor. MSI, like Gigabyte and Asus, takes advantage of this with a tailor-made model.

When MSI recast the Geforce GTX 980 Ti, it will be under the Gaming brand, whose parade number is the proven Twin Frozr V cooler. This means a solid heat sink with heat pipes and two 100 millimeter fans, which are switched off with no or easier use.

MSI’s representative on site did not want to say the clock frequencies, but ironically these are already published in an official press release – 1,178 MHz and 1,279 MHz at base respective boost – in round throws 20 percent above Nvidia’s standard value. The company has also tuned the graphics card’s 6 GB GDDR5 video memory a bit, from regular 7,010 MHz to 7,100 MHz.

For other details, it is a tailor-made circuit board with double 8-pin PCI Express for extra turning space in the event of overclocking and a baking tray, which according to the company’s representative has been added to popular demand. For video connections, the card has the set DVI Dual Link, HDMI 2.0 and three Displayport 1.2.
