MSI, new curved gaming monitor coming soon: price and features

MSI expands its gaming monitor offer and unveils Optix MAG322CR, a high performance display designed for those who aim for a high framerate and consequently look a lot at the refresh rate, of course, graphics card permitting. The Taiwanese manufacturer, which already boasts several solutions of this type (e.g. Optix MAG491C or the 240 Hz Oculux NXG251 seen at Computex 2018) now offers a monitor with 31.5-inch curved panel capable of offering one refresh rate up to 180 Hz is response time 1 ms (MPRT), all with VESA Adaptive-Sync support and AMD Free-sync certification.

In more detail, Optix MAG322CR mounts a VA type panel (8-bit + FRC) with 96% DCI-P3 coverage and 125% sRGB; the other features are unfortunately not so exciting: the resolution reaches 1920×1080 pixels while the brightness does not exceed 300 nitsThis is despite the fact that the monitor is sold as HDR-Ready.

Like the other models in the MSI Optix line, MAG322CR also looks a lot at aesthetics, offering a borderless design as well as the Mystic Light technology that allows you to manage and customize the RGB LED system (located on the back of the body). As for connections, on board we find a DisplayPort 1.2a, two HDMI 2.0b, USB Type-C (with DP Alt Mode), two USB 2.0 and 3.5mm headphone jack.
