MSI releases the Geforce GTX 680 Twin Frozr

New variants of the Geforce GTX 680 are rolling in on the assembly line, and most recently MSI with Twin Frozr, a graphics card with an upgraded cooler and alarmed clock frequencies that will appeal to enthusiasts looking for more than the reference model can offer.

First and foremost, the familiar radiator with double fans and heat pipes is visible. According to MSI, this design should be 22 ° C cooler and 10 dB quieter compared to the standard variant.

The graphics processor GK104 “Kepler” is overclocked to 1,058 MHz standard and 1,124 MHz at GPU Boost, slightly higher than the reference model’s 1,006 and 1,058 MHz respectively. There is also 2 GB of GDDR5 memory at 6,008 MHz, the same as the original.

Otherwise, “solid” capacitors with extra high durability, support for the overclocking tool MSI Afterburner and outputs for two DVIs, HDMI and Displayport can be seen. The MSI Geforce GTX 680 Twin Frozr will be available in stores within two weeks and is estimated to cost SEK 4,795–4,995 including VAT.
