On November 9, 2010, the Geforce GTX 580 was launched with the GF110 graphics processor. The second generation of architecture Fermi fixed most of the problems with its predecessor, mainly by lowering power consumption and adding more computing devices.
It now appears that Nvidia’s partner manufacturers are stopping production of the Geforce GTX 580 in favor of the GTX 680 replacement. The cousin Geforce GTX 590 with dual GF110 is already out of the game.
