MSI shows Geforce GTX 970 “Maxwell” with the cooler Twin Frozr V.

It is not long before Nvidia’s energy – efficient architecture Maxwell lands in the upper performance class and with it, a plethora of new partner – made models are planned. While the Geforce GTX 900 series graphics card is still confidential, MSI continues to deliver renderings on the Twin Frozr V radiator, which is apparently mounted on a member of the new graphics card family.

MSI’s previous preview showed the top of the graphics card, but here the two fans that appear to be around 100 millimeters and a revised casing are clearly revealed. The remaining cooling device consists of a series of cooling fins in aluminum, which are accompanied by five heat conduction pipes.

Apart from the rendering, no other details appear, but during Computex, MSI revealed that the Twin Frozr V has been optimized for better airflow than its predecessor. This is to be able to reduce the sound level without giving higher temperatures.

The fact that the large cooler can be expected to deliver low noise level together with the new graphics cards is strengthened not least by the fact that the Geforce GTX 970 is believed to have a TDP value of 148 W, which is around 100 W lower than previous graphics cards in the same performance class.
