MSI shows its Z690 GODLIKE motherboard, with an exaggerated size larger than a TRX40

MSI announced that it received 16 innovation awards from CES 2022, and as part of this announcement, it revealed the first image of its Z690 Godlike motherboard, which will possibly be announced during the event.

The first thing that strikes us when we see the Z690 Godlike is its monstrous size. It has a size of 305x310mm, being wider than it is tall, something that practically no motherboard even in extreme platforms with 8 ram slots like X299 or TRX40 achieves.

Another surprising aspect is its huge 3.5 ″ screen integrated into the RAM memory area cover, which will display information about the system such as temperature, CPU frequency, and more. This screen is practically transparent and is placed on top of this cover, which will add a significant cost to the already very high cost of the rest of its components.

Based on a leaked schematic design, one of the reasons the Godlike Z690 will be so large is that it will offer a total of 6 M.2 ports, a figure we’ve never seen on such a platform. This will allow for incredible storage speeds but it will also be incredibly expensive to fill all 6 M.2 ports.

Other features of this motherboard are its 22 power phases, support for four DDR5 modules with speeds up to 6666GT / s, and an impressive I / O panel loaded with all kinds of connectors (its exact specifications are still unknown).

MSI is expected to announce the Z690 Godlike in January during CES 2022, so we will have to wait a bit longer to get to know it fully. Obviously it will not be economical at all, and possibly around US $ 2,500 or even more, so we will only see it in photos. We will keep you posted on the news, so stay tuned to HD Tecnología.
