MOSCOW, 30 Sep — PRIME. Norilsk Nickel has tested a drone for diagnosing power lines (TL) of the Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company, the company’s press service reported.
Norilsk Nickel will collect applications for bonds in rubles and dollars
Norilsk Nickel has tested the Dragonfly tightrope-walking drone. The drone is designed to diagnose power lines (power lines),” the company said on its Telegram channel.
It is added that thanks to the drone, electricians will not have to climb to a height to perform work, since the drone is able to detect various mechanical damages, put repair clips and “treat cables with anti-corrosion compounds.”
According to Alexander Kudinov, Senior Manager of the Industrial Assets Department of Norilsk Nickel, whose words are quoted in the report, such a technology may have great prospects and a “high economic effect.”
“Based on the test results, an analysis will be made and options for using this technology at the facilities of the Norilsk Nickel group,” he added.
