MOSCOW, 29 Aug — PRIME. Norway will send about 205 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of natural gas, the Agence France-Presse reports citing Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

In Ukraine predicted a decrease in gas consumption by 40%
“Ukraine has asked Norway to take a leadership role in providing access to energy. We respond and offer to use two billion crowns (about 205 million euros – ed.) so that Ukrainians can buy gas this fall and this winter,” the agency quotes prime minister’s statement.
It is noted that this package, allocated from a total assistance of 10 billion Norwegian kroner (about one billion euros) already promised to Ukraine by Norway, will be sent to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which will be responsible for gas purchases.
