Nvidia arranges Geforce surprise for Gamescom on 20 August

Nvidia’s graphics architecture Pascal and the more powerful graphics cards in the Geforce GTX 1000 series have been around for over two years and are still the latest in the category in the consumer market. During the spring, rumors about the next architecture and launch date have taken turns in quick succession. The latest offer is that consumer-oriented Turing-based graphics cards will be unveiled on 30 August.

This event will be filled with awesome new PC games running on the latest GeForce hardware, cool stage presentations, food and drinks, and some spectacular surprises.

On August 21, the five-day gaming fair Gamescom kicks off in Cologne, Germany. Nvidia has sent out an invitation to an event that kicks off the gaming party. The event takes place on August 20 and the menu includes the latest games, but also surprises with Geforce connection.

There has long been speculation that the Geforce GTX 1100 series will be launched sometime during the summer. Combined with recent reports of a launch at the end of August, it is not impossible that Nvidia’s planned surprise has to do with the next generation of graphics cards.

Chinese Pconline reports that third-party manufacturer Inno3D recently presented a water cooler intended for Nvidia’s upcoming graphics cards, which further indicates that the unveiling is close in time. In addition, the company’s sales manager confirmed that the launch will take place in 2018.
