Nvidia Geforce “Pascal” for laptops will be released in mid-June

Just in time for the start of school and the next major upgrade cycle of laptops, AMD and Nvidia intend to release their new graphics architectures – Polaris and Pascal respectively. Common to both is the transition from 28 nanometers to new manufacturing technologies, something that guarantees higher energy efficiency and thereby better performance.

SweClockers has previously been able to reveal that Nvidia plans to announce Pascal for laptops at Computex 2016, which will be launched on 31 May. However, the sharp launch is planned for later and according to information to the editorial staff, Nvidia has communicated it June 16th to their partner manufacturers.

As before, however, a warning finger is raised that the plans may change. It is still unclear whether Pascal is ready or whether the launch window will need to be moved, which is why SweClocker’s informants choose to see the date as a preliminary goal rather than something carved in stone.
