Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition is delayed – again

On September 19, the tests of Nvidia’s latest graphics card with the new architecture Turing were published. This was followed the next day by Geforce RTX 2080 while the higher performing sibling RTX 2080 Ti was postponed for an unknown reason to a week later – on 27 September.

Today is the start of sales for the Geforce RTX 2080 Ti and partner manufacturers’ models have found out at Swedish retailers, but in limited editions. The graphics card is already out of stock for practically everyone and those who are looking forward to the next delivery, it looks like this will happen during the second week in October.

At the same time, Nvidia announces that the company’s Geforce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition will be delayed once again. The graphics giant still states no reason for the delay and only announces that they instead aim to deliver the cards between 5 and 9 October, where customers living in countries with express delivery will receive their copy on 5 October.

When SweClockers tested Nvidia’s latest top models, it quickly became clear that the Geforce RTX 2080 was only a few percent faster than the GTX 1080 Ti, while the RTX 2080 Ti was the model that raised the bar seriously. Performance hunters are therefore eagerly awaiting the latter, despite a sky-high price tag of around SEK 14,000 and up in Swedish stores.
