Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti performance test – reportedly capable of over 60 FPS in 4K UHD

Earlier this month, Nvidia held a press conference where they unveiled the next generation of Geforce graphics cards. The new models are based on the company’s latest architecture Turing and will be part of the Geforce RTX 2000 series, which introduces a number of innovations.

Nvidia put a lot of focus on the new features, such as the company’s own technology RTX, which will enable ray tracing in real time in games. Something many are waiting for, however, are performance figures in games and during the event, Techradar got to test the top model Geforce RTX 2080 Ti in a number of game titles.

Among other things, mention is made of the upcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which in the tests was at a frame rate of between 50 and 57 FPS with Nvidia’s RTX technology activated in unknown resolution. It is also mentioned that the graphics card was tested in a number of other unnamed games, where it achieved a frame rate of over 100 FPS in 4K resolution and the graphics turned up to Ultra.

Geforce RTX 2080 Ti is the top model in the new product series and is equipped with, among other things, 11 GB of GDDR6 memory and a clock frequency of 1,350 MHz. New for the model and the smaller sibling Geforce RTX 2080 is also the high-speed interface NVLink, which was previously used for Nvidia’s business-oriented products and replaces the current SLI.

Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 TI are available to pre-order and will be launched on September 20. The prices for the graphics cards in Nvidia’s Swedish online store are SEK 9,199 and SEK 13,999, respectively.
