EK Water Blocks prepares water blocks for the Geforce RTX 2000 series

At the unveiling of the Geforce RTX 2000 series, Nvidia showed off the new models with its updated Founders Edition cooler, which is equipped with an extra fan compared to previous variants. In addition to this, a number of models from partner manufacturers such as Asus, MSI and EVGA with their own cooling solutions are also released.

In addition to traditional air coolers, there are also models with closed water cooling, but for those who want to take it a step further, it is also possible to mount a separate water block for even lower noise levels. One of the manufacturers that provides water blocks is EK Water Blocks and during the Gamescom trade fair they show one for Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 2000 series.

In a picture published by Eteknix on Twitter a glimpse of a water block that is said to be adapted for the Geforce RTX 2080 Ti. It is believed to be a prototype and the water block has many similarities with the company’s previous products. One of the big differences is extra cutouts in the upper part, which is believed to be for the new NVLink interface used to connect several graphics cards.

EK Water Blocks has previously announced that water blocks for the new Geforce RTX 2000 series will be available in connection with the launch of the graphics cards on 20 September. However, whether this applies to all three models or only the Geforce RTX 2080 is still unknown.

Geforce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti will be launched on September 20 and RTX 2070 sometime in October. They have a recommended price tag of 499, 699 and 1,199 USD respectively for reference models, which corresponds to 6,899, 9,199 and 13,999 in the company’s Swedish online store.
