NVIDIA is one of the best places to work, according to Fortune magazine

Fortune magazine recently revealed a list of the 100 best companies to work for globally. The companies were selected based on a survey about working conditions and opportunities for personal growth. NVIDIA was comfortably in 5th place.

Five years ago, the company led by Jensen Huang was ranked 39th among the top 100 companies. The Fortune survey revealed that 95% of NVIDIA employees consider the place to be “great to work”, compared to 57% for the average US company. Only the company’s headquarters in the United States, which is located in Santa Clara (California), has 9,440 employees, so it is considered a large company.

The majority of these employees (34%) have been with the company between two and five years. Employees who have been with NVIDIA for less than two years represent 26%. The third largest group is that of those who have been between 6 and 10 years (18%), followed by 12% who have been between 11 and 15 years. In NVIDIA, 8% have between 16 and 20 years of service, and only 2% have more than 20 years, one of them Jensen Huang himself.

Employee responses to the survey in percentages

For NVIDIA employees, “the people, the CEO, the team, the family and the culture“Among other aspects, they are what make the company the fifth best company to work for on the Fortune list.

Last year, NVIDIA was ranked fourth on the list, also from Fortune, of “Best work environment in technology“. In 2020, the company’s best achievement was fourth place on People’s “Companies That Care About Their Employees” list. It seems then that NVIDIA is indeed a good place to work after all. Fortune magazine has always conducted serious studies and its data is quite reliable. Now what is remarkable is the wide range of positive attitude that the company’s employees have towards their bosses. That is the greatest indicator of success for NVIDIA.
