Nvidia is preparing a heated Geforce GTX 650 Ti

AMD is in the starting blocks with another graphics card in the Radeon HD 7000 series, but not based on any of the existing graphics processors. The upcoming mid-range Radeon HD 7790 instead has its roots in the mobile world and contains a major novelty – the second revision of the GCN architecture.

As a direct response to this, Nvidia is now preparing another graphics card based on the GK106 circuit, sources tell SweClockers. The upcoming model is “very similar” to today’s Geforce GTX 650 Ti and will primarily deliver higher clock frequencies. The launch will take place at the end of March or the beginning of April.

The mid-range Geforce GTX 650 Ti was released in October 2012 and contains 768 CUDA cores, 128-bit memory bus and 1 or 2 GB GDDR5 memory. The clock frequencies in the standard version amount to 928 MHz GPU and 5.4 GHz GDDR5. At present, graphics cards based on this model cost from around SEK 1,200 including VAT.
