At the last second, Nvidia suspended the launch of the Geforce GTX Titan Z, a decision that was probably made as a result of the launch of the Radeon R9 295X2. After many trips about the graphics card’s being or not being, Nvidia is now launching its new worsting model with dual graphics circuits and a good amount of memory.

The new flagship houses a total of 5,760 CUDA cores clocked at a relatively low 705 MHz at base, but the higher 876 MHz at boost. This includes no less than 12 GB of GDDR5 memory at 7,000 MHz – effectively 6 GB per graphics processor with a theoretical bandwidth of 336 GB / s.
The power is supplied via dual 8-pin PCI Express connectors and the radiator follows a similar design pattern as previous Titan models, but to cool both graphics circuits, the model grows to take up three expansion slots. The entire package is cooled by a centered axial fan, which blows against the graphics card’s black anodised cooling fins.
Geforce GTX Titan Z is already available in stores, but for speculators, the new graphics card is anything but cheap. The model’s recommended sales price is as much as SEK 26,995 – more or less double up from the Radeon R9 295X2.
