The Geforce GTX Titan Z will be released on May 28

At the last second, Nvidia decided to cancel the launch of the Geforce GTX Titan Z, perhaps because the model would not succeed in challenging the Radeon R9 295X2 in the top performance. With no new launch date in sight, it looked like Nvidia got cold feet and either returned to the drawing board or put the model on the shelf, but now it seems that the graphics card is up to date again.

According to information to SweClockers, Swedish retailers have been informed that the launch of the Geforce GTX Titan Z will take place on 28 May. However, there are no major changes. The graphics card is still said to contain two GK110s with a total of 5,760 CUDA cores and 12 GB of GDDR5 memory. The really large reference cooler is also recognizable from the original presentation.

According to previous information, the clock frequencies will be significantly lower than for both Geforce GTX 780 Ti and Titan Black. Despite this, Nvidia chooses to set the target price at a juicy 2,999 dollars, which at Swedish retailers seems to translate to around SEK 27,000 including VAT.

The good news is that there will probably be no graphics cards on the shelves on 28 May. The first deliveries will instead be delayed for a while into June. At the same time, information is circulating about whether graphics cards are primarily intended for system integrators, ie factory-built computers.
