Immediately after the launch of the Geforce GTX 1080, there was speculation about when Nvidia would release a GTX 1080 Ti. During an event at the Game Developer Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, Nvidia announced just that and the launch has a direct impact on GTX 1080’s place in the market.
The first comes as a direct consequence of the price of the Geforce GTX 1080 Ti, which goes from $ 699 and up. As a result, the GTX 1080, from the current recommended level of $ 699 for Founder’s Edition and $ 599 for partner manufacturers’ models, is lowered to $ 499.
The new price will take effect immediately and given that Nvidia has cut $ 100, it should correspond to around SEK 1,000 on the Swedish market, which means that the majority of the Geforce GTX 1080 should land at around SEK 6,000 in retail.
