Nvidia lowers the price of Geforce GTX 580

These are busy days for graphics card makers AMD and Nvidia. At the turn of the year, the first models in the Radeon HD 7900 series were introduced and since then, AMD has followed up with more graphics cards in lower price ranges. At the end of March, it is Nvidia’s turn to launch graphics processors in 28 nanometers.

To make room for those models, Nvidia lowers the price of the Geforce GTX 580 by 60 USD, corresponding to just over SEK 500 including VAT. As there are campaigns going on at the same time, the price reduction will not have any immediate effect on Swedish retailers. However, the normal price for a standard model will creep down to around SEK 3,700 including VAT.
