Nvidia lowers the price of the Geforce GTX 980

At midnight, the launch of the new flagship Geforce GTX 980 Ti, which despite the name is not based on the graphics processor GM204 but the much more powerful GM200 – known from GTX Titan X. At the same time, Nvidia is taking the opportunity to lower the target price for its predecessor Geforce GTX 980.

Target prices: Geforce GTX 900 series

In the latest US price list, the Geforce GTX 980 drops from $ 549 to $ 499. This means that speculators can expect that the graphics card will be SEK 400–500 cheaper at Swedish retailers in the next few days.

The price reduction does not only affect the reference model but also the partner manufacturers’ customized graphics cards. An example is the EVGA Geforce GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0, which was awarded the top-class award and is now available for SEK 5,290.
