NVIDIA Shield Tablet updates with TWRP support

Despite the fact that NVIDIA launched a new tablet just last week, known as the NVIDIA Shield Tablet K1, the older model also received press attention. The original Shield Tablet is getting an update with TWRP support. TWRP – Team Win Recovery Project, open source software designed to recover Android devices.

The software offers a touch-sensitive user interface that allows owners to install third-party firmware and provide system backups. This solution will usually come in handy if your Android tablet is “sick”. So, if you want to install TWRP and Flash ROM on your Shield Tablet, now you can do it officially. We believe TWRP will be available on the Shield Tablet K1 as well, but this issue remains to be clarified.

You can go to the TWRP official website and start downloading. The NVIDIA Shield Tablet was released last year, hit the market with Android 4.4.2, and is now powered by Lollipop. It is powered by a powerful Tegra K1 processor, 2GB of RAM and an 8-inch Full HD screen.
