Nvidia ships from Computex 2021

As this year’s large electronics fair Computex 2021 will not be in physical edition for another year, everything will be done digitally. Just hours after AMD takes over, it’s Nvidia’s turn to take the digital stage. For those who are looking forward to something new on the consumer side, the speaker is Geforce CEO Jeff Fisher, who most recently during CES 2021 drew the veil of the mid-range card Geforce RTX 3060.

In a teaser on Twitter, Nvidia shows three images from Doom Eternal, Escape from Tarkov and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, which can thus be assumed to support Geforce-specific technologies such as DLSS. Nvidia also gives a glimpse of a laptop, something that comes shortly after the launch of the Geforce RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti for laptops. Whether there will be something new on the graphics front or if they simply want to show their success with partner manufacturers is not yet known.

A novelty that is more or less guaranteed is the Geforce RTX 3080 Ti. The model takes a real step up from RTX 3080 in terms of specifications and by reputation is closer to RTX 3090. The biggest significant difference seems to be the amount of GDDR6X memory, which takes the step down from 24 GB for RTX 3090 to 12 GB for RTX 3080 Ti.

Another novelty that may be presented is the Geforce RTX 3070 Ti. This graphics card is believed to take a minor step up from the RTX 3070 in terms of the number of CUDA cores. The biggest difference is instead expected to be that the graphics memory takes a step up from 8 GB GDDR6 to 8 GB GDDR6X, which guarantees a substantial increase in memory bandwidth.

New graphics cards, features in games or laptops. What are you most looking forward to from Nvidia?
