Nvidia “Turing” in 3DMark Time Spy – runs on Geforce GTX 1080 Ti

After more than two years with the architecture Pascal, on August 20, Nvidia unveiled the all-new Turing, which will initially take up space in three new graphics cards – Geforce RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 and RTX 2070. wordless when it comes to how graphics cards perform in games that do not use the new technologies.

The 3DMark database and the Time Spy subtest test list the results from an Nvidia graphics card with 8 GB of graphics memory. The name of the model is not clear, but judging by the amount of memory, it should be a Geforce RTX 2080 or even its less potent sibling RTX 2070.

Graphics cardTime Spy (graphics score)
Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080/2070(?) (8 GB)10,030 points
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 Ti (11GB)9,302 points
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 (8 GB)7 182 points
AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 (8 GB)7 132 points
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 Ti (8GB)6,812 points
AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 (8 GB)6 226 points
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 (8 GB)5,786 points
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 (6 GB)4 294 points
AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB)4 265 points

Results from the remaining graphics cards are taken from SweClocker’s test lab.

The results show that the graphics card barely crosses the 10,000 mark in graphics points, which is almost 8 percent better than what the Geforce GTX 1080 Ti last got in SweClocker’s test lab and about 40 percent over the GTX 1080 and Radeon RX Vega 64 from AMD.

It is worth mentioning that the graphics card had a clock frequency of 2,025 MHz, which is a good bit above GPU Boost for RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 which is at 1,710 MHz and 1,620 MHz respectively. Whether the result is overclocked, however, is difficult to answer, as it can not be ruled out that the program lacks proper support for Turing and thus can not make a correct reading.

The launch and launch of Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti will take place on September 20, while the RTX 2070 will be released sometime in October.
