Nvidia updates Geforce Experience with new interface and optimizations

The Geforce Experience software is Nvidia’s attempt to provide added value alongside hardware. Nvidia is now updating the program to version number 3.0, where the company has rebuilt this from the ground up, with a new interface and new features.

One of the most obvious changes is the login screen that the user now encounters when the program is started for the first time. Nvidia now requires an account to use the software, and by creating one you get, among other things, access to exclusive lotteries of hardware and game titles.

The software has also been given a new look that will be easier to navigate with clearer menus and the ability to display the games in a view with larger icons. Nvidia is also taking the opportunity to optimize the software and Geforce Experience is now, according to the company itself, three times faster and uses half as much memory.

Geforce Experience 3.0 also comes with the ability to record videos in 4K at a frame rate of 60 frames per second (FPS). These can be scaled down to 1080p60 for live broadcast over, for example, Youtube or Twitch. Other players can also watch the video stream in the Chrome browser and take control of the game remotely.

Another novelty is the redesigned drivers tab. This now shows significantly more information than before, including a list of the most important changes and news from the company’s website.

For those who have Geforce Experience installed, the software is automatically updated to the next version, while others can choose to download it from Nvidia’s website.
