Office 2021 prices revealed – gHacks Tech News

Microsoft announced Office 2021, a new perpetual version of the company’s Office suite, last month. Office 2021 will launch alongside the company’s new Windows 11 operating system on October 5, 2021. A release version of the Long-Term Service Channel, called Office LTSC 2021, is now available to businesses.

What Microsoft did not disclose at the time of the announcement was pricing information.

A new publication on the German Microsoft News portal by Bruno Daellenbach, Consumer & Device Sales – Office Category Lead at Microsoft, lists the Office 2021 editions and pricing information.

The following editions are mentioned:

• Office Home and Students 2021 includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams for PC and Mac. It sells for € 149.00.
• Office Home and Business 2021 includes all Office Home & Student 2021 applications plus Microsoft Outlook for PC and Mac, and the rights to use the application in business environments. It sells for $ 299.00.

Put prices in perspective. Office Home and Student 2019 retails for € 149.99, Office Home and Business 2019 for € 299.00.

Pricing for the Home & Student edition and the Home & Business edition remain the same. The price probably hasn’t changed in other regions, either.

Office 2021 runs on Windows 10, Windows 11, and the three most recent versions of Mac OS, according to Microsoft’s post on the news site. Daellenbach points out that Office 2013 doesn’t officially support Windows 11. The older version of Office may not be supported, but it will probably work fine on Windows 11.

Office 2021 includes visual changes, performance improvements, Microsoft search integration, instant search for Outlook, and other features like a built-in translator.

Some of the features have already been integrated into Microsoft 365 Office applications. One of the main differences from standalone versions of Office is that Microsoft 365 applications receive feature updates regularly, while standalone versions of Office do not. Standalone versions, such as Office 2019 or 2021, will only receive security updates and bug fixes.
