OGK-2 reduced electricity generation by 4.3 percent in January-September
MOSCOW, 17 Oct — PRIME. OGK-2 in January-September reduced electricity generation by 4.3% compared to the same period in 2021, to 35.8 billion kWh, the company reports.

“The decrease in production volumes is due to the optimization of the operation of inefficient equipment,” the company comments on the results.
The release of thermal energy from TPP collectors amounted to 3.473 million Gcal, which is 5.9% lower than a year earlier. The change is reportedly due to an increase in outdoor temperature during the reporting period.
OGK-2 is a thermal generation company. The controlling shareholder of the company is Gazprom Energoholding (100% subsidiary of Gazprom).
