Patrushev warned about the consequences of the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream

MOSCOW, 5 Oct – PRIME. Sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipelines has become an act of international terrorism, which can lead to serious consequences for Europeans, said Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

“The perfect sabotage on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipeline is nothing but an act of international terrorism, the consequences of which can be significant for the population of Europe,” he stressed during a speech at a security meeting in Crimea.

The Secretary of the Security Council focused on the threat to the security of pipeline transport. According to him, the US will be the beneficiary of the state of emergency on Russian gas pipelines.

A gas leak on the strings of the Russian gas pipelines Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 was discovered on September 26 in the Baltic Sea. According to Swedish seismologists, powerful underwater explosions were recorded in the emergency area the day before. Germany, Denmark and Sweden did not rule out that the incidents could have been the result of targeted sabotage.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation initiated the initiation of a case on an act of international terrorism.
