PayPal has released a job announcement for an anti-money laundering and blockchain strategy director. Apparently, the company has decided to explore how it can leverage new technology in its processes.
A few months ago, in an interview with Fortune. PayPal CEO Dan Schulman revealed that he personally owns Bitcoin. In June 2019, PayPal joined the Libra project, but withdrew a few months later to focus on its own initiatives.
Schulman said the company gave up the Facebook project after it determined that PayPal could make more progress on its own financial inclusion.
