Performance figures for the Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 can be found on the web

At the end of August, Nvidia unveiled the new Turing graphics architecture and a trio of graphics cards in the form of Geforce RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 and RTX 2070. Turing will succeed the over two-year-old Pascal architecture, but the Geforce RTX and Geforce GTX 1000 series will according to Nvidia coexist until the beginning of 2019.

Geforce RTX 2080 has been on the market as planned since September 20, and after delays, the flagship model with the suffix “Ti” can now also be purchased. The mid-range Geforce RTX 2070 card will be launched shortly and in one posts on Twitter, performance figures from the synthetic test 3DMark Time Spy are now visible.

The post shows a total score of 8,151, but an exact figure for only the graphics card is not available. The processor used is Intel Core i7-8700K with a base frequency of 3.7 GHz, which is standard out of cardboard. Wccftech writes that the Core i7-8700K flanked by a Geforce GTX 1080 delivers a total score of around 7,500, which can give an indication of how the upcoming product will perform.

The tested Geforce RTX 2070 model will be a variant from the manufacturer Zotac, with a turbo frequency of 1,950 MHz. On its website, Nvidia specifies that the basic TU106 graphics circuit has a turbo frequency of 1,620 MHz, while the company’s Founders Edition graphics card is overclocked to 1,710 MHz.

The Geforce RTX 2070 comes with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with an effective memory frequency of 1400 MHz, which together with the 256-bit memory bus results in a theoretical bandwidth of 448 GB / s. The graphics card will land in stores on October 17 and models from third-party manufacturers have a so-called starting price of SEK 5,500 including VAT, but for Founders Edition SEK 6,899 applies instead.
