How to be root on BLU cell phone (EJ: Studio)

Getting root permission on an Android device is basically getting control to do anything on that machine. In what concerns here, to be root on the BLU Studio X Plus fortunately no technical knowledge is necessary. It can be achieved with a couple of taps on the screen.

Root BLU Studio X Plus with KingRoot

To root the BLU Studio X Plus you just have to install one application called KingRoot. As your original website kingroot.net no longer opens, you have to search for its APK file in Google and download it. Then, tap on that file to install. If the installation is blocked, you will probably have to enable the installation from funknown sources in the Android system settings.

Once installed, run the app. In it you will find a “Root” option, that you have to touch to start this process. It should take around 5 to 10 minutes nothing more. When complete, a prompt will appear stating that root has been successfully obtained.

The mode of check if your computer is rooted correctly it is download the Root Checker app. With a touch you can find out if the cell phone is rooted or not.

Super SU, in case root has not been obtained

It is quite likely that the Root Checker app says that There is NO root on the device. The solution in this case is to download and install one more application: Super SU, which will also have to be searched on Google. Run the application and when the warning appears install binaries, do it. If you get an error after the process, it doesn’t matter.

Then check the root again with the Root Checker application. This time It should show that the root has been successfully obtained.

Tested on Android KitKat

It was possible to root the Blu Studio X Plus with KingRoot successfully as indicated. It is very important to say that the phone had the operating system Android 4.4.2 KitKat at the time of rooting. The phone has already downloaded the update to Android 5 (Lollipop) and is ready to install. But that won’t be done because, being rooted, may become unusable if such update is applied.

Warning:
KingRoot is a dangerous app, as we said in an update to this article. Although the root is successful and the phone works fine, this application installs malware, adware and you get too much control over the device, considering the permissions you get. The worst of all is that it protects itself so that cannot be uninstalled by the user. And if you could somehow get rid of it, it seems that not all the changes you make to the phone are reversible.

Unfortunately, KingRoot is apparently the only good root solution on the BLU Studio X Plus. We have tried other alternatives such as Framaroot or TowelRoot and they have not worked.
