Pictures of the Geforce GTX 1080 with aftermarket cooler are leaking

The Geforce GTX 1080 is officially launched today and will be Nvidia’s first consumer-oriented card based on the new Pascal architecture. Initially, only one version of the card will be released, namely Nvidia’s own reference design they call Founder’s Edition, but it will not be long before partner manufacturers release their own cards. Now several of these cards have been glimpsed in the picture.

In total, it is a Geforce GTX 1080 from four different manufacturers, namely Asus, EVGA, Zotac and Gigabyte. The cards come equipped with the companies’ own cooling solutions, which in the case of Asus means a card in the Strix series. The card is overclocked from the factory and equipped with their latest DirectCU III cooler. The model also comes with customizable RGB lighting.

From EVGA’s side, two cards are shown, Geforce GTX 1080 FTW and Geforce GTX 1080 Superclocked. The former is one of the company’s top models and uses an upgraded circuit board and a more powerful VRM that receives power from two 8-pin PCI Express connectors.

The Superclocked model, on the other hand, uses Nvidia’s reference circuit board and an 8-pin PCI Express connector. In terms of coolers, this is the latest version of EVGA’s ACX cooler and the card will probably also come with an updated BIOS to enable higher overclocking.

For Zotac, it’s about the Geforce GTX 1080 AMP! and AMP! Extreme. Both cards come with Zotac’s own circuit boards and the power supply is handled by two 8-pin PCI Express connectors. The difference between the two is that the Extreme version is equipped with three fans instead of two and that it is overclocked higher from the factory.

Last but not least, it’s Gigabyte’s model Geforce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming. So far, little is known about this card, except that Gigabyte uses its own circuit board and a cooling solution with three fans.

All cards are expected to be shown during this year’s Computex trade fair, which runs from 31 May to 4 June.
