The launch of AMD’s graphics architecture Navi is fast approaching, and on July 7, the duo Radeon RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 will be released. Together with the Radeon VII, the cards will be the first consumer variants with support for PCI Express 4.0, and in terms of performance, the Radeon RX 5700 XT will pass Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 2070.
Rumor has it that Nvidia will counter AMD’s new graphics card by expanding the Geforce RTX 2000 series with three models with the extension “Super”. According to information, Geforce RTX 2080, RTX 2070 and RTX 2060 will be released in Super version with more CUDA cores, while unveiling and reviews are expected to land on July 2. Now Videocardz writes that they have put their hands on price information for the upgraded trio.
In addition, availability dates are reported, as for Geforce RTX 2060 Super and RTX 2070 Super in the reference version Founders Edition listed on July 9th. The more powerful Geforce RTX 2080 Super will instead be delayed until July 23, which is in line with previous information that this card will connect at a later time.
In terms of price, the Geforce RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2080 Super will replace the predecessors without the suffix, with a target price of 499 and 699 USD respectively for the reference cards. The two models will also completely replace their predecessors in the range, while Geforce RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2060 continue to exist with an unchanged recommended price tag.
The price for the Super version of the latter lands instead at 399 USD, which is 50 USD higher than for the older variant. In addition to 256 extra CUDA cores, however, the Geforce RTX 2060 Super is upgraded to 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and a wider memory bus, which is rumored to be a significant increase in performance.
