Problems with the Nvidia Geforce RTX 2000 series are said to be related to specific monitors

Recently, it was reported that several users encountered problems with their graphics cards from Nvidia’s new Geforce RTX 2000 series. These included computer systems such as crashed and graphical artifacts in games, mainly with Geforce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti in Founders Edition design.

The technology site Gamersnexus has taken a closer look at the problems and in a video on Youtube they present what they have come up with. Specifically, they have investigated the problem with blue screen (BSOD), which is linked to which screen is used. According to them, the culprit in the drama is a high frequency of updates together with Nvidia G-Sync.

The tests also show that problems can occur with all models in the Geforce RTX 2000 series, and not just the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti. Nvidia is reportedly already aware of the problems and is working on a new driver that will fix them, and this will be released shortly.

Nvidia has already started sending out the driver to customers who have contacted them regarding the issues. According to Gamersnexus, a temporary solution may be to turn off G-Sync, but it is not guaranteed to solve the problem.

Update at 14:35: Nvidia has now released the new driver with version number 416.81, which should fix the problem. It can be downloaded via the company’s website.
