At the launch of AMD’s new old graphics card Radeon R9 280X, it was clear that the company did not intend to provide a reference design of the model, but instead left the responsibility to the partner manufacturers themselves. Initially, however, AMD chose to keep all partner manufacturers’ cards under embargo until a few days after the original launch.
A week later, the veil has fallen and it is therefore free to take a closer look at the many Radeon R9 280X cards that have appeared on the market. The test lab is this time entered by models from Asus, MSI and Gigabyte, who with their own cooling solutions and increased clock frequencies will fight for the enthusiasts’ enthusiasm.
