Renoir for desktop with 8 cores and integrated Vega GPU

HD Tecnología

A few days ago we told you about a mysterious Renoir APU that appeared in Userbenchmark with 8 cores, 16 threads, and an integrated Vega graphics, and now thanks to the Ashes Of The Singularity benchmark we know that It could be called Ryzen 7 4700G.

Unfortunately this test was performed together with a Radeon RX 5700 XT and not with the integrated graphics, preventing its performance from being known. However, we may know your name, which is already new information. Thanks to the Userbenchmark test, too we know they are compatible with AM4 500 Series motherboards, and some Twitter users also assure that they will work with B450 and X470, so there will be a wide range of compatible motherboards.

It will be interesting to see the performance of these new APUs, since the modifications made to Vega in the laptop models brought great performance improvements, and when working with higher frequencies on the desktop, the performance will be even higher. For this we must wait a little longer, since they are expected to arrive only in July.

Are you looking forward to seeing these new AMD APUs? Are you interested in this Ryzen 7 4700G or do you think that not as many cores are necessary in one APU?
