The boss of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, suggests that his company could make a IPO over the next 12 months.
During an interview with WallStreetJournal on the sidelines of the conference Davos 2020 in Switzerland, the CEO of Ripple said there would be IPO in the blockchain sector in 2020 and that his company would be "not the last".
Over the next 12 months, you’ll see IPOs in the crypto / blockchain space. We are not going to be the first and we will not be the last, but I expect we will be at the forefront … this is a natural evolution for our business, " he said.
Issuer of XRP, the 3rd largest cryptocurrency on the market in terms of market capitalization, Ripple aims to improve the current banking system through the use of technology blockchain.
Garlinghouse added that Ripple was currently discussing with the US regulator DRY about the XRP classification.
