RKN asked the Start online cinema for information about a possible data leak
MOSCOW, 29 Aug — PRIME. Roskomnadzor requested from the Start online movie theater (50% of the shares belong to the Megafon mobile operator) information about a possible leak of customer data of the service, RIA Novosti was told in the department.
The Russians increased the number of appeals to Roskomnadzor in the first half of the year
On Sunday, information appeared in Telegram channels that the data of about 44 million users of the Start online cinema, including test recordings, were made publicly available. It is noted that the data includes the names and surnames of users, e-mail addresses, as well as IP addresses.
“Roskomnadzor sent a request to the company with a request to provide detailed information about a possible leak of personal data of service customers,” the report says.
At the same time, the Telegram channel of the service reported on Sunday that they confirmed reports of a leak of phones and email addresses of some users, but banking data was not affected.
