Roskachestvo named the best browsers for smartphones in 2020

The Russian quality system has conducted another study in order to identify the most convenient, fast and reliable applications on Android and iOS mobile platforms.

During the study, experts tested 24 web browsers, which are leading in the Google Play and App Store in terms of the number of downloads. As it turned out, 14 of them work on the Android operating system and 10 on devices running iOS. When assessing the performance, more than a hundred different parameters were taken into account, including comfortable use for people with disabilities.

At the beginning, the specialists checked the work of the search functions, auto-complete forms, adding bookmarks, translating web pages, blocking ads, anti-phishing and other features. According to the results of intermediate testing, the most functional browsers were Google Chrome, Opera, the built-in Xiaomi browser on Android and Safari, Yandex Browser on iOS.

Also, according to experts from Roskachestvo, the most convenient in all respects were Android Yandex.Browser, built-in browser Samsung, Google Chrome and Apple Safari, Brave and Google Chrome. And the leaders among the fastest applications, including those with a large number of open tabs, are Brave, UC Browser, Microsoft Edge on Android and Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge on iOS.

Also, experts have tested all observers for privacy and information security. At the same time, Roskachestvo employees noted with regret that more than half of browsers somehow transfer user data to a third party. Therefore, none of the applications received high scores for this parameter. In this regard, Roskachestvo recommends that Internet users additionally install anti-virus applications on mobile gadgets.
