Russia and Myanmar are discussing payment for the supply of petroleum products in rubles or yuan
MOSCOW, 12 Oct — PRIME. Russia and Myanmar are studying the possibility of transferring payments for the supply of Russian oil products to rubles or yuan, the country’s ambassador Lwin U.
Myanmar started buying Russian oil products and is ready to pay in rubles
According to him, Myanmar wants to import two million tons of gasoline and about four million tons of diesel annually from Russia. President Vladimir Putin has already agreed to these deliveries, the ambassador said.
“We are now agreeing on the details of payment – whether to make it in rubles or in yuan,” he said.
A delegation of the Ministers of Energy and Electricity of Myanmar arrived on Wednesday for the Russian Energy Week, which will be held from 12 to 14 September in Moscow.
