Sales of gasoline on the stock exchange in Russia in January-August increased by 4.3%

MOSCOW, August 31 – PRIME. The volume of gasoline trading on the St. Petersburg Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (SPIMEX) in January-August increased compared to the same period last year by 4.3%, to 6.527 million tons, and diesel fuel – by 22%, to 8.68 million tons, follows from the materials of the trading platform.

Inflation in Russia in annual terms slowed down to 14.31%

At the same time, the total trading volume of all oil products on the exchange amounted to 18.629 million tons, an increase of 8.7% in annual terms. In monetary terms, the trading turnover for the reporting period amounted to 906.432 billion rubles, showing an increase in annual terms by 7.2%.

Also, out of the total trading volume, sales of jet fuel in January-August amounted to 822,000 tons, having decreased by 40.5%. Heating oil sales increased by 22.7% to 1.068 million tons, and LPG sales by 9.8% to 1.216 million tons. Sales of other petroleum products, as well as certain categories of goods produced from oil and gas, amounted to 316 thousand tons, having decreased by 20.7%.

The volume of trading on the SPIMEX in 2021 increased by 16.6% compared to 2020 and amounted to 27.03 million tons. The trading turnover reached 1.362 trillion rubles, having increased by 39.8% over the year.

SPIMEX is the largest commodity exchange in Russia, it organizes exchange trading in the markets of oil products, oil, gas, including liquefied gas, timber and building materials, mineral fertilizers, as well as trading in the derivatives market. The exchange was established in 2008.
