Santander to Operate Ripple Net in Mexico

This year, the Spanish bank Santander will launch One Pay FX, its remittance service based on RippleNet, at Mexico.

After Spain, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Poland, Portugal and Chile, Santander plans to deploy its service One Pay FX at Mexico.

In annual report published by the Security Exchange Comission (SEC), the bank says it wants to launch its network-based application Ripple at Mexico "At the beginning of 2020".

One Pay FX offers transparency and predictability, competitive cost, digital experience and better speed, improving the current customer experience with a world-class payment system, ”added Santander, who invested in Ripple in 2016.

This autumn, Santander participated in the $ 14 million tokenization financing round Securitize.

Last week, another partner Ripple, Intermex, declared that he would not use RippleNet in its main markets, particularly in Mexico, but rather in new regions.
