Serbia boasts of the Chinese anti-aircraft system

Probably at the end of the second decade of this century, Serbia secretly purchased an anti-aircraft defense system from China. We recently saw the implementation of this order and now confirmation that the mysterious flight of airplanes was indeed related to it, because Serbia has just boasted about the Chinese anti-aircraft system.

FK-3 is the newest Chinese anti-aircraft system in Serbia

This Chinese anti-aircraft system, or more precisely, the alleged three, which were the subject of the contract, were FK-3 systems, the export version of the original HQ-22. These systems can destroy up to six air targets within a 100 km radius and at altitudes of 50 meters to 27 km with a total of 24 missiles.

The missiles themselves are guided semi-actively by radar or radio command, and only in the event of strong electromagnetic interference and loss of communication with the launcher, it automatically switches to radar guidance. While this acquisition will certainly improve Serbia’s military capabilities, it may prevent the country from being accepted into alliances of Western European countries. Earlier, the USA warned you against purchasing this type of equipment, so that in time Serbia could possibly connect with the arsenal of European Union countries.
